Commitment to Discipline, Professionalism & Excellence

Sri Gokulam College of Nursing nurtures responsible and compassionate nursing professionals. Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline, respect, and professionalism within the campus, hospital, and community settings.

Professional Conduct
  • Show respect to faculty, hospital staff, administrative staff, and fellow students.
  • Use polite and professional communication.
  • Maintain discipline inside and outside the campus.
  • Avoid gatherings that obstruct entrances, corridors, and pathways.
  • Maintain silence and attentiveness during classes.
  • Act responsibly during college events and official programs.
Academic Responsibility
  • Attend all classes, assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Participate actively in academic and clinical learning activities.
  • Follow instructions given by faculty members and clinical supervisors.
  • Take internal assessments seriously to achieve excellent academic performance.
Attendance Policy
  • Minimum 80% attendance in theory classes.
  • 100% attendance in clinical postings as per regulatory norms.
  • Late arrival of more than 10 minutes may result in loss of attendance.
  • Students with insufficient attendance cannot appear for university examinations.
Uniform & Professional Appearance
  • Wear the prescribed college uniform during academic and clinical hours.
  • Maintain clean, well‑ironed and proper uniform.
  • Male students must keep neatly groomed hair and maintain a clean‑shaven appearance.
  • Female students must tie hair neatly and avoid long nails and nail polish.
  • Jewellery should not be worn during clinical hours.
Identity Card Policy
  • Students must wear their college ID card inside the campus at all times.
  • Students without ID card or proper uniform may be marked absent.
Anti‑Ragging Policy
  • Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited.
  • Students involved in ragging will face strict disciplinary action
Mobile Phone Policy
  • Mobile phones are not permitted during academic and clinical hours.
  • Violation may result in confiscation of the device and disciplinary action.
Campus Property & Cleanliness
  • Students must handle college property responsibly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, laboratories, and campus premises.
  • Damage to institutional property may result in recovery of costs.
Transportation & Safety
  • The college provides transport arrangements for academic activities.
  • Students must follow campus traffic and safety rules.
Information for Parents / Guardians
  • The college provides a supportive learning environment with experienced faculty and clinical facilities.
  • Parent–Teacher meetings will be conducted once in a year to discuss student progress. Attendance is mandatory (100% participation) to review the student’s academic and clinic progress, discipline and overall development.
