Chairman’s Message

Sri Gokulam School of Nursing started in the year 1992 and College of Nursing in 2001. The programme was started with the aim to excel in teaching, research and leadership along with every other facility at par with the best to render Health care services. We offer 4 year B.Sc (Nursing) Degree Programme. 2 year Post Graduate (M.Sc Nursing) Programme with 5 branches, 4 year Ph.D Nursing programme and 3 year Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery programme.

It is a matter of great pride for all of us that Sri Gokulam college of Nursing is a premier Institution which imparts excellent training in  multi speciality 380 bedded Hospitals with specialized modern technologies. Our students have been regularly clinching Gold medals from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University. The distinct facility and dedicated faculty are always felt as a fundamental requirement for teaching and training. Our faculty continues to grow by updating their knowledge and adopts innovative methods of teaching which immensely benefits the students. We also promote research among the students by kindling the spirit of inquiry and innovation.

The Institutions offers innovative learning approaches through classroom teaching with the help of modern technology and clinical teaching by adopting various methods such as simulation, bed side teaching, case study and case discussion, video conferencing etc. We regularly update the parents about the academic performance of their children and Parent teachers meeting is held twice a year.

Apart from academics, importance is given to character building and discipline among the students to prepare them for their professional life. Individual Development training is also imparted through Junior chamber international(JCI) every month.

The combination of computer training and exposure to the modern diagnostic equipments and in house hospital training will certainly equip our students with the capability of easily adopting to the ever changing technology in the field of Health on one hand and will provide highly qualified health professionals on the other hand which is the need of the hour in our country and abroad.
